Finally an important episode with actual plot progression, how long has it been since one of those. I really like Haibara and she's one of my favorite and I think she makes the series like 10 times better so I'm super hyped.

Watching Conan and Haibara's first meeting is so crazy cuz it's so different than their later episodes. They're so hostile towards each other it's crazy how much development they've had. Haibara is one of my favorite characters (and imo the best written) (and also, admittedly I ship CoAi a bit) so I'm very excited I've finally gotten to this point and to see what's so come.

mhm, you didn't know? one of the first ever dating sims was an arcade game. you could get special 'cards' for the girls in the game with accessories, gifts, events, etc. not unlike CCGs like Pokemon or Yugioh cards. but these cards had data printed on them with codes the arcade games could read. you put the card into a slot at the proper time while playing the game and it would interact with the girl you chose etc.

you do know they're not six years old right? see the big red square backpacks? elementary school students in Japan wear those. you're thinking they're all younger than first grade. plus, kindergarteners often wear big yellow rain hats to make them more visible while they're walking to school. some elementary schools use those but not many. plus, most of the kids are a little bit taller than knee high on the adults, especially Genta. if you were actually paying attention to the episodes and watching them, you'd realize your estimation on their ages could be upwards of five years off.

the way haibara stops crying & starts unraveling all of Conan's biggest questions and just straight out overloading him with important and shocking info while doing so in a traumatizing way like the boy was so scared & shocked plus her being chill about it i was mouth on the FLOOR i was NOT expecting it at ALL.
